Meet the Team at Chaska Veterinary Hospital
I am a 2007 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and I have been practicing in Minnesota for the last fourteen. years. Over this time, I have developed skills in advanced surgical and dental procedures, managing complex medical issues, and helping families navigate the day to day challenges of caring for their dog and cat family members, from the youngest to the most senior patients. However, what I cherish most in my career is the opportunity to develop long-term relationships–and in many cases, friendships–with the pets and their human owner. I am hopeful that with time, I will be able to build those same relationships with each of you.
– Dr. Colin Parrott
I am a Certified Veterinary Technician. I have an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Blue Ridge Community College in Staunton, VA and a BA from the University of Minnesota. I am also a Fear-Free Certified Professional, committed to making your pet’s visit to Chaska Vet as low-stress as possible. I assist Dr. Parrott in everything from physical exams to monitoring anesthesia. Behind the scenes I also keep track of inventory, radiology, laboratory equipment, medical equipment maintenance, appointment scheduling and OSHA compliance. I am fired on a daily basis, but because I love my job so much, I just keep coming back. I have one adult son and a “foster-fail” dog named Chell. In my off time I enjoy baking, reading, singing in the church choir and cross-country skiing, bicycling, and walking.
I graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1994 as a Certified Veterinary Technician and 20 plus years later, I still love coming to work everyday! I truly believe I have the best job ever. I had the pleasure of joining the Chaska Veterinary Hospital Team in September of 2019. Working in a practice that strives to have low stress restraint with emphasis on Fear Free exams, makes visits to the vet more enjoyable for everyone. Working with such a wonderful staff and really getting to know our pets and their owners, solidifies my belief that I do indeed have the best job ever!!
In my free time I love spending time outside with my kids both canine and human. Fishing, weekends at the cabin, dog parks, boat rides, walking through the woods, bike rides etc. we love it all!! My husband and I have three wonderful human children Christian, Josie, and Joren. And one very special canine companion, Tank who is an adorable, pliable, and very lazy Labrador Retriever.
Hello there! I’m a veterinary technician who joined the team in the summer of 2021 after graduating with my B.S. in wildlife management and microbiology at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. I find being a part of veterinary medicine extremely rewarding and appreciate the differences in each patient and case. I enjoy getting to know each pet and pet parent that walks through the doors of Chaska Veterinary Hospital and utterly love being a part of this team! One of my favorite parts of the job is the genuine connection we have with our clients and their furry kiddos.
I thoroughly enjoy the Minnesota weather and woods, so you can find me outdoors cross country skiing, rock climbing, and camping in my free time. I’m the (mostly) proud parent of a mischievous, bubbly terrier mix named Loofa and a lazy bearded dragon named Fritz.
I am a 1999 Certified Veterinary Technician graduate of the Medical Institute of Minnesota! I’m lucky enough to say I’ve been doing what I love for over 20 years. In 2007 I started managing the day to day operations of 2 small animal practices in the SW suburbs and the rest is history. My experiences have brought me to Chaska Veterinary Hospital and a lot of my favorite team members that I’ve worked in the past. I enjoy the close relationships this team makes with their patients and clients. I look forward to many years with this small but mighty team!
My special interests are in practicing in The Fear Free Approach to Veterinary Care and feline medicine! I am a crazy cat lady with my 4 cats, Montana, California, Rico, and Jax.
During my time away from the clinic I enjoy spending time with my family. I love the theater and share that common love with my daughter who performs in the Waconia Show Choir and also in Waconia Highschool’s Theater productions!
I’d like to thank all the team at CVH for making my home away from home my favorite place to be!
Hello everyone, I am a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined the team in the fall of 2021. I graduated in 2014 with my Associates Degree from Argosy University. Over the years, I have gained a large amount of knowledge and skills while working in a mixture of general practice and urgent care/emergency. Some of my favorite daily things include educating new pet owners, phlebotomy/laboratory tests, surgery, and dentistry. One of my daily goals is to make sure every animal can be as comfortable as possible while visiting us at the clinic with low stress handling. I have been Fear Free Certified since 2019 and love that I work for a clinic that is Fear Free. The thing I am most excited about is building relationships again with clients and getting to know their pets after working in an urgent care/emergency hospital for the last few years! Overall, I enjoy spending my days laughing while working with such an amazing group of individuals.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. My fiancé and I bought our first house together in Waconia May of 2021 and we spend most of our free time with upgrades on the weekends. My family has an odd tradition, we all build cars to do Demolition Derbies together every summer in July so that takes up a lot of time as well. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat; Toby who is a happy Labrador/Springer Spaniel mix, Rosie who is a crazy Great Pyrenees/Husky mix, and Charlotte a Domestic Shorthair.
“Salutations! I could not be more ecstatic to introduce myself as Chaska Vet Hospital’s newest veterinary technician assistant.
I graduated with a degree in English Literature and Writing from Bethel University in 2020, but decided to take a chance on pursuing my childhood dream of working with dogs in lieu of sitting behind a computer screen and writing into the void…best decision ever.
After the uncertainty of the pandemic and two years learning and working in the pet hospitality industry, I emerged knowing one thing with utmost certainty: our pets are everything. I’ve met pets who were teachers, trailblazers, survivors, and heroes. They’re our friends, our family members, and our supporters. In return, I believe it is our greatest responsibility as owners to advocate for the wellbeing of our pets, and I am so grateful to have found a team who makes it their mission to support and aid their clients in this endeavor while making the experience as low-stress and positive for every party involved. Since joining the team in spring of 2022, I’ve strived to do everything I’m capable of to help keep CVH clean, comfortable and happy for all.
In our freetime, my Vizsla/English Setter mix Benny and I enjoy sitting on the couch, watching mediocre movies, and eating cheese.”
